Program Launch

 

We need your help to introduce an ICP program at a community college or technical school near you. Work with ICP staff to launch a program in your community and:

 

  • Choose a good school partner.
  • Form an employer Advisory Committee.
  • Reach out to local workforce and economic development organizations.
  • Implement the curriculum.
  • Market the program to students and employers.

 

Based on our early experience, we have developed a comprehensive Implementation Toolkit that outlines the process to launch an ICP program and defines implementation best practices:

 

  • Key role played by a local industry champion.
  • Need to ensure early and ongoing commitment by a diverse base of employers in the area.
  • Importance of understanding the selected college’s structure and process.
  • Need for a marketing subcommittee to help the school promote the industry.
