Discover How ICP Has Worked With Schools Like Yours

ICP currently partners with five community and technical colleges in North America – and we are working on adding more schools to reach more students!

At each ICP program, a volunteer Advisory Committee of industrial distribution and manufacturing employers works with school faculty and administrators to tailor the core curriculum to meet the specific needs of local employers and to adapt to the structure of each college.  Students may take select courses, work towards a certificate or earn an associate’s degree in industrial distribution.

Understand the Need for Industrial Distribution

A 2008 human resource study of distributors "The Quest for Human Talent" perpared for the Industrial Supply Association by Dr. W.R. McCleave found the most difficult human resource challenge was finding qualified people for all jobs.  Finding sales talent was the second most difficult challenge.  Less than 5 percent of small distributors and 40 percent of large distributors felt they were successful in meeting the challenge of finding sales challenge.
