ICP Job Board Offers Free Resume Search for Registered Companies

(Registration is also free!)


There is an easy and zero-cost way to review resumes of people who might be a possible match for job openings in your organization. Simply register your company on the ICP Job Board and, once your account is accepted, click on the Resume Bank tab to start searching.
 
Search for possible candidates by keywords and/or location. You will receive a list of possible matches with links to their resume to review their qualifications. If you think you've found a good match, just add their resume to your cart.

To connect with a potential candidate, click Checkout. You will have an opportunity to provide a description of your position to forward to your potential connection. You will be asked for payment information at this time. However, you will not be charged unless the candidate agrees to make the connection with you (14 days is allowed for this to occur). Then, and only then, will your credit card be charged $35 and contact information on this candidate be provided to you.

This is a simple, easy and inexpensive way to find potential employees. And, if you don't find a potential match, you can always post a position to the ICP Job Board now that your account is all set up. Amb_NetworkICP Steering Committee's Plan Put Into Action

Recently, ICP's Steering Committee approved a marketing plan designed to increase awareness of industrial distribution careers among 18-34 year-olds. Specifically, the target market is those who do not have college degrees and are mechanically inclined but are not aware of the great career opportunities in industrial distribution. 

The promotional tactics include:
  • Refreshing the ICP website to make it more appealing to this younger generation by including more graphics and shorter pieces of content
  • Creating a visible presence on social media sites (LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter) where this group spends a lot of their time
  • Attending career/job fairs to foster one-on-one conversations with those who are part of the target group
  • Continuing to develop resources for our ICP Ambassadors to use when visiting community colleges, business groups, high schools and other local groups to explain the vast number of opportunities available in the field of industrial distribution

Last month, ICP exhibited at the Veterans Career and Expo at Soldier Field in Chicago, attended by over 1,000 job seekers. Ginger Wheeler, Marketing & Communications Manager for ICP, spent the day talking with dozens of eager candidates about the field of industrial distribution. 
 
Career fairs offer an opportunity to raise awareness and to speak directly with potential job seekers--answering their questions and pointing them in the right direction to find a fulfilling career.
