story1Got 60 Seconds?

The newest program addition to the ICP marketing arsenal is the "ID Job Hunting Minute." This series of short video clips features Justin Time with tips on getting a job in the industrial distribution field.

These tips range from learning about industrial distribution and the positions available at the entry level to constructing your resume to include keywords used in the field to suggestions on what to do before, during and after the interview. They provide the 18-34 year old target audience information about finding a job in the profession using the audience's media of choice.

New one minute video spots will be posted on the ICP YouTube channel and the ICP website (in the Work section)  every two weeks.

When you're talking to anyone in our target audience, direct them to for terrific content about finding a job in industrial distribution.

story2Lights, Camera, Action - Win an iPad!

Submit Your Funny Video and Win an iPad!Industrial distributors are creative problem solvers. We need you to put your creativity to work!

Produce a video that shows the unique and appealing aspects of a day in industrial distribution. If there is something humorous to include, that's great!

All entries will be included in a random drawing on June 4, 2013 for an iPad. Just grab a camera (or even your cell phone) and capture some of the things that occur during your day. The video can be scripted or free form, but needs to portray situations that occur in the field.

Visit the ICP website to download the full rules.

You can't win if you don't enter and, if you enter, there is a very good chance that you will walk away with an iPad!

story3story4Gates Corporation Steps Up as Vanguard Contributor

Vanguard donors are the companies that pledge or donate early to kick off the next year's fund drive. In military terms, the vanguard is the force that leads the way into battle--a place of distinguished honor. Each year, ICP depends on the generous donations of companies like yours to keep pushing the message that great careers are available in industrial distribution.

Gates logoOne such loyal supporter is Gates Corporation of Denver, Colorado.  "Gates is committed to advancing the science of motion performance by developing safe, forward-thinking products, services, systems, and solutions, as well as fostering long-term customer and employee relationships." - Gates Corp. website.

Tribby WarfieldThe Gates Corporation's vanguard support of ICP is one way it is demonstrating the power behind its mission. Gates NA Commercial President Tribby Warfield said, "The work being done on behalf of the industrial distribution community by ICP to further the awareness of the existence and diversity of career options is valid, necessary and critical to the long-term success of the industry. We are proud to support this organization and encourage other manufacturers that depend on attracting bright young people to industrial distribution careers to join us."

ICP 2013 Fund Drive contributors will be acknowledged in future issues of Pathway, so make your 2013 contribution now to receive early recognition. And, thank you for the support!
